Helen is currently Academic Advisor for the BA Marketing Communications degree with responsibility for second year students. She has 24 years experience as a Senior Lecturer and has taught students at all levels, as well as being involved in programme management and programme validation and design. Prior to this, she had 7 years industry experience in marketing as a brand manager and senior brand manager working for L’Oreal (Vichy), Nestle (Chambourcy) and Moulinex. She has developed a range of marketing skills and experience.
She has published in the area of student choice/decision-making and Higher Education and her thesis explores parents’ experiences of their child’s HE choice process, using highly interpretive interviews. She teaches marketing, with a particular specialism in international marketing, as well as supervising dissertations.
